Orcas Collection

Land-based whale watching is a respectful way to observe whales without disrupting their behaviour. All of these photos were taken from land near Victoria B.C., and include various pods from the Northern Resident orca population. This population, unlike the more endangered Southern Residents, feed on large mammals such as seals and sea lions, and are more frequently seen close to shore.
